Huifan Xiao, R.Ac

Acupuncturist (TCM)

Fan is a Registered Acupuncturist and Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner. He graduated with honours with a specialization in chemistry from Western University, and during his university years, he got interested in Eastern medicine after seeing his family member receiving acupuncture with amazing results. After his graduation, he decided to move onto another path and finished a 4-year intensive training at Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Fan has completed multiple internships before he started his career and volunteered at Dorothy Ley hospice for 14 months where acupuncture was used to help patients with terminal illness. He believes taking medication is not the best way to stay healthy, but rather the right amount of every piece and to live a balanced life. He is dedicated to combine his background in science with oriental medicine and motivated to help many others with a better quality of life. Fan adapted many modalities of acupuncture such as traditional Chinese acupuncture points, tung’s acupuncture, channel palpitation by wang ju-yi, zhu’s scalp acupuncture, dry needling, Meizen cosmetic acupuncture and cupping.
Fan spends a great amount of time and attention carefully listening to his clients’ inquiries to make sure that he can do his very best to address their concerns. Over the years of practicing, he has become very good at treating all kinds of stress related symptoms including headaches and insomnia, as well as pain relief from conditions such as athletic injuries and chronic pain.
